Bio

Hailing from Los Angeles, Emma Antonides is a violist in the Los Angeles area with a notable array of accomplishments. She holds a Masters Degree from USC Thornton School of Music, where she studied under the guidance of Karen Dreyfus. Emma completed her Bachelor’s Degree at the Eastman School of Music in 2021, majoring in Music Performance and minoring in Digital Media Studies, under the tutelage of Masumi Per Rostad. She has also participated in masterclasses with renowned figures including Geraldine Walther, the Jupiter String Quartet, Calidore String Quartet, and Barbara Barber. Emma has attended the Zodiac Music Festival, Bang on A Can Summer Festival, Kinhaven Summer Arts Institute, and Miami Classical Music Festival. Emma plays around the Los Angeles area and holds a section position with the Billings Symphony.

Outside of her musical endeavors, Emma demonstrates a strong commitment to community service. She has volunteered with initiatives such as the Eastman Pathways Practice Buddy Program, YOLA at LACHSA Mentorship Program, and the Colburn School’s Community Outreach Program, showcasing her dedication to both her craft and enriching the lives of others. She currently teaches violin, viola and piano lessons of all levels in private and group settings.
